After nearly half an hour of searching....

I FOUND THE BLUE SNOWBALL

Very small yes... Very faint yes...

BUT I STILL FOUND IT, considering the Moon is so bright. Really pleased with myself as you can probably tell.

Don't you just love astronomy!!!!!

I really can't express this enough but I just cannot envisage ever getting bored with astronomy. I've been at it now nearly two years. I've probably spent hours looking for various different things and never found them.... But still no frustration. I've tried to find the snowball twice before but perseverance does pay off. Astronomy has become the greatest love of my life...... After my wife of course

I was amazed how much you can see through an 8" Dob with a lot of ambient light around. So much better at a dark site though.

Well done. Took me at least half a dozen attempts to find it and a few of those were from a fairly dark site!

Nice one Ally - I have seen it through a friends scope but never attempted it with my own - looks like this is turning into the 200p appreciation society thread lol - I'm not in any hurry to upgrade just yet - still so much more to see

Great find did you manage to see the greeny blue colour. I found this to thw other night great ib my 14" dobby

beautiful sight isnt it and nice to see colour, try the ring nebula, nice to see multicolours and if the seeing is good you will see a star just outside of the colours, have to get it early in the night though

Yes it had a lovely hue to it. Would love to see it through a 20" obsession
