Recommended Posts

M33 taken in France.

30x300, QSI 583ws, SW ED80, 0.85fr, RGB=10x300 secs each.

Not used to colour, so bit of a trial to process. may have another go and take some Ha, after i have sorted out  the 200 normal photos I have taken!

Thanks

Fay

Good stuff, Fay.

In Lessons From The Masters http://www.springer.com/astronomy/astronomy,+observations+and+techniques/book/978-1-4614-7833-1 R Jay Gabany offers some low noise colour boosting ideas which work incredibly well. Highly recommended. Using Saturation is a noise monster but GaBany's ideas get around that.

Very good M33. It's a faint affair that guzzles time.

I like this a lot Fay, well done.

It's a surprisingly difficult target given it's angular size, but it always seems to look noisy and very difficult to get a good colour balance.  I guess the magenta could go down a tad, but still think this is very nicely processed.
