I've always had this love/curiosity for space, but mending my brother's unused telescope was what really hooked me onto stargazing. I'm not super great at it (light pollution maybe??) and I don't have a whole lot of experience so I just want to apologize in advance for the hoards of questions I may end up asking. Anyway, it's great to be here and I'm very excited to be part of such a cool community!

Hi and welcome to the lounge

Dubai has a great deal of light pollution, we have holidayed

there many times and I'm afraid observation was poor, but

an hours drive into the desert and wow what a difference, we

stayed at the Bab el Shams which is in a very good location

away from any L P and I enjoyed some great nights with my

bins, so away from the city is the best place to observe.
