Horse to M42 in HA

This was taken a few days ago. I wanted to add some frames to either side but i'll need to wait for the Moon and weather to get better for that. I find the core of M42 a little flat looking in this version but i havn't got around to fixing that yet.

I sometimes wonder why i need a telescope when you have this lens(and the 400 5.6L). I would love to see a 460ex behined one of these, they are just so sharp and would love the smaller pixels but im not going to complain about my 383L.

Atik 383L+ mono camera,

Canon 200mm f2.8L Lens @f3.5 also with an external aperture mask.

Celestron CGE mount autoguided,

8x 900sec HA,

Baader 1.25in 7nm filter

TS filter drawer,

Stacked in DSS and processed in PixInsight and PS

I wish there was a timelaps of the forming of all this. I think it would take a few years to put together though and the dinosaurs may have needed camers.

How do you compare your Mamiya 200mm APO against the Canon 200mm. Im keen on ataching my starlight 694 to my Mamiya lenses as you know.

How do you mount that Atik 383L+ to your Canon lens?

Is this the resulting FOV with this combination or did you crop it at all?

I used a canon to m42 adaptor i made and a ts filter drawer.

I think it has only had a very small trim.
