Hi all,

I live a few miles outside Gateshead in the North East of England. I have pretty decent dark skies but the weather's always lousy and I don't have an obsy atm but do have a bad back so get out far less frequently than I'd like to.

I've been in to astronomy for a while and am lucky enough to be able to make a living at it. I thought I'd join SGL because although I get to talk to fellow amateur astronomers quite regularly, that's a work thing and those that know me will know I'll do anything to avoid work. ....anyway, I like talking astronomy.
