What are you aspiring to observe this Autumn / Winter?

It's hard not to take a look at that when the Hunter graces us with his presence

The Horsehead Nebula is high on my list, caught a glimpse last year, 3 times over 10 hours observing.

I just really want to get jupiter....as big as possible. I still don't belive its real until i see it woth me own eyes.

Given the clouds I think the only thing I will be observing in autumn is fireworks (which indecently are as good as astronomy, expensive though). Hoping to view the Triangulum galaxy when it appears over the top of the house in the next month.

Jupiter Jupiter Jupiter ! - it's at a very favourable position this winter (for northern hemisphere observers) in the ecliptic keeping it out of the more hazy air.

Going to spend a bit of time going over Orion again, but will mainly be working through the Messiers, hopefully can get them all ticked off by next summer (missed a few of the summer ones this year). Looking forward to Jupiter rising earlier too.

Make the most of Jupiter first and foremost. I love the planets and currently trying to get my head around the idea of no planets to speak off from 2014 to 2020. So really need to make the most of Jupiter this winter (and next).

But also want to start making use of my Telrad Messier, Caldwell and NGC charts. Hoping to add an 8" reflector to my collection very soon to aid in this.

I want to see everything at once, that is my problem. Only just starting out so end up trying to see everything i can.

Need to slow down i think and take a bit nore time, but it's difficult when you are just starting as everything is so

exciting and new.

Need a dose of patience i think
