Moon with plane!

Taking some afocal photos of the moon tonight with my phone/dob and caught a rare shot of a plane going through it thought i'd share

Lovely shot! The timing as well as using a phone makes it an amazing achievement. I particularly like the swirly distortion of the heat / vapour trail.

I thought I'd set up my gear in the back garden this evening to do some Ha shots of the North American Nebula. The forecasts looked promising during the day, but as time went by they became progressively less optimistic during this evening and its just hazy now so I've put my kit away. You put me to shame! Well done!

The last time I was out observing I was encouraging my dad to look at the Moon and get involved with my Binos, he also saw a jet fly right across the moon too, he was amazed

I wonder what his reaction would be if you could go back 136 years (to 1876) and show Alexander Graham Bell what you had achieved with the telephone that he invented*
