Andy - great to know that darkness is now here & entending daily.

I'm sure SOMEONE (i'll mention no names :rolleyes2: ), said there looks like 2 clear nights this weekend, unfortunately I don't think that covered Coventry !! Ah well.

Hope you get a clear one & enjoy ! :)

Mmmm sorry... think that may have been me!

Just re-checked on SteveL's site and I forgot I've moved... damn I've got to wait until the 26th :(

According to the first of those links I'm at the same latitude as Selsey and despite only regaining full darkness on 18th July, already have 1hr 43minutes. I'm quite surprised by how fast it has increased.

It was interesting that Lucksall is named as one of the designated sites for this information. Good information and site.

i believe it was one of the members on here who set this up. Mainly for star party sites originally then some others were added (my area) among others

Im only a few miles south of Druridge Bay, which is the closest dark(ish) site that I've found

you should arrange to go to Kielder Observatory as you are only a stones throw away (big stone :p )

there are some great star parties there

Having looked at all the available links, I've managed to do quite well considering I don't get astronomical darkness until this coming Friday. So that has surprised me!

This Friday I get 8 minutes of it!
