Motor controller holder type thingy

Hi all, sorry for the title but I am not sure of the name of what I am looking for. I have an Explorer 200p with the dual axis motors, and I have seen on some pictures that you can get a holder of some description for the controller that attaches to one of the tripod legs. As it is only a matter of time before I stand on my controller in the dark, could someone please let me know where I can buy one?

I haven't seen a holder for the dual axis controller, however I used velcro - worked great ........

They usually come supplied with the mount. Is it a new purchase?

If I'm wrong about that specific mount then I would give a second vote for velcro.

Stick some Velcro on the back of the handcontrol and a trpod leg or tray.

Thats what I did, on my eq3-2 I put some velcro on two of the legs and on theback of the moter drive handset, works a treat.

are you on about the holder for the syntrek or synscan handset?

Neither, it is just the controller for the two motors. I have nothing more sophisticated than mk1 eye balls for searching out targets.

I put a big velcro circle at the top of each leg of the tripod and another at the top of the back of the controller. That way it doesn't matter which side of the mount I'm observing from the tripod leg closest to me is where the controller hangs.

I used velcro for the slow motor control on my EQ3-2 - worked a treat, mounted it at the top of one of the legs where it was really accessible.

are your tripod legs 1.75" or 2" like on the cg5, if its the later i can let you have mine as i dont use it,if you want it pm an addres

there is an alternative - (although does mean opening up the controller case and drilling a small hole in the back of the case) - you could use steel spring clips from RS http://uk.rs-online.com/web/ catalogue number 507-753
