Ive just had a peek at the weather forecast for the transit,i know theres lots of room for error but at the moment its not looking very promising

Sad to say but looks like it will clouded out in suffolk hope not.

I will surely be watching and have created a set-up using a tripod and binoculars. Let's hope the clouds stay away!

I plan on going a bit further up the road, by the radio towers.

The Bwlch overlook shown on the map has a narrow view east through the valley, and the sheep are a constant nusance as people stop and feed them; about a mile up the road toward Abergwynfi there's a layby, which I find preferable.

Very true mike,unfortunately my coronado pst hasnt arrived but i know there will be other people up there with scopes so hopefully i can have a glimpse through one.Shame there wont be another in our lifetime

Just took a look at the BBC weather forecast and forwarded the time to early hours, the cloud cover is just so close, it has to be tried

I'm up twmbarlwm, very cloudy, small break in the clouds toward the north so a slight glimmer of hope! Although there are a lot of fast moving clouds coming from the south and west. Gonna stick it out though.

Heavy clouds were rolling over me at the tower site, so I moved down the road to the layby above the Bwlch overlook, a clearer view but no luck.
