Bren99
Hi there,Just a quick shout out to everyone on here. After some internet lurking your forum seemed busiest and most interesting, so I thought i'd give it a go!Novice-level astronomer in the North West hoping to learn more, thinking of buying a decent set of binoculars to start off with and see where I go from there!Cheers, Bren
LukeSuppalot
Hi Bren and welcome to SGL.I've used binos for years to view the sky. So quick and easy to use and a nice wide field of view. You can see things with binos that you can only see parts of with a scope like Kembles Cascade (NGC 1502 at one end) for example. I'd also recommend you download a free program called Stellarium. It will help you work out what you're looking at.Clear skies.Luke.

Double Kick Drum
Hi and welcome!Binos are great to start with; no set up time, able to sweep through star fields - take it all in, smaller cost commitment, good way to learn constellations. Happy hunting!
