  1. Hi I picked up a dual channel HP 100MHz scope off e-bay for £50, is that a route you would consider? .
  2. Still getting a stupid popup telling me somebody has posted in the bottom right of my screen. .
  3. Thanks finally I have peace and quiet - until next time. .
  4. Hi thanks for your reply, I meant to say I am using Opera. I do not recall giving anybody permission to send me anything and TBH it is blumming annoying when it keeps on making a noise and poping up. .
  5. Hii I have not said yes to any popup, if fact I run a blocker. Now as I have not altered anything and it only started with the new software and it does not happen with any other site, IMHO it IS something the new software has done and I would like to switch it off please. I am using Firefox. .
  6. Hi How do I get rid notifications, I get this message when I try and change preferences, but with ni way to switch it off; Browser notifications enabled Thanks
  7. Hi I have found there are two types of USB adapter, one works for security use (often allow a number of cameras), the other works for our use (normally for one camera and two audio inputs). Try reading the e-bay advert very carefully. .
  8. Can't beat these IMHO £33 odd; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201048264781?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Flyingfuzz there is no way that is 50Ah capacity! .

  10. Check with Heavens Above - a very useful site! http://heavens-above.com Click on ISS then click on the date to show the path. And ISS Tracker http://www.isstracker.com Will be quite low on the horizon tonight. .
  11. Or even better price delivered; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201048264781?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT And a known make! .
  12. Hi and welcome. Manchester is rather large, would you care to be more specific? Do you have your own transport? Would you not do better to visit your local club, have a chat with them, maybe even try a few 'in anger'? .
  13. Hi You do not have to get them level, the tripod legs take care of levelling and the legs go back in the same position each time, just do not collapse them. The weight is an advantage as it will 'bed' them into the ground better and they do not even have to be level, they can follow the contour of the land as the locating holes will always get the tripod in the same position. .
  14. Why not just put 3 no 2' x 2' flags down, then you can do as I do and drill 3 shallow holes into them to give 3 points to locate the legs of the tripod. .
  15. Hi welcome to you both. You are welcome to pop over and visit us one Saturday night - when there is some clear weather though. .
  16. These are very good and last a long time; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lucas-LSLC-22Ah-12V-AGM-GEL-GOLF-TROLLEY-BATTERY-18-Holes-MOCAD-FRASER-/181330377288?hash=item2a3821fa48:g:qOAAAOxy4fVTB2lS .

  18. Hi These two are rather useful; http://gong2.nso.edu/products/tableView/table.php?configFile=configs/hAlpha.cfg http://solarchat.natca.net/index.php Welcome to the warm side. .

  21. It might be good to set a budget and work from there. I am very happy with the last laptop I bought (once I dumped W 8.1) a Toshiba C 50 and the one before gave good service (still is in fact) Acer Aspire on W 7. .
  22. Hi and welcome, hope you will pop over to The Astronomy Centre one Saturday night and see us. .
  23. The 8mm is a lot of fun though, when using it during the day you have to be careful or you get your feet in the image! lol There seem to be ways of getting loads of distortion and ways of avoiding it - but such a depth of field. .
  24. Hi Pauline Welcome to the site, I hope you have time to visit us at Bacup on Saturday night, bring your scope so we can help you get started - you can even bring hubby! lol .
