Hi there,

Just a quick shout out to everyone on here. After some internet lurking your forum seemed busiest and most interesting, so I thought i'd give it a go!

Novice-level astronomer in the North West hoping to learn more, thinking of buying a decent set of binoculars to start off with and see where I go from there!

Cheers, Bren

Hi Bren and welcome to SGL.

I've used binos for years to view the sky. So quick and easy to use and a nice wide field of view. You can see things with binos that you can only see parts of with a scope like Kembles Cascade (NGC 1502 at one end) for example. I'd also recommend you download a free program called Stellarium. It will help you work out what you're looking at.

Clear skies.

Luke.
