Hello fellow star-gazers...

I am Rob, 28, from Leeds, West Yorkshire. I have always been a fan of the stars, but until recently, all I would do is gaze up and think, oh they're pretty! Thanks to Star Gazing Live I have now become, not just an amateur astronomer, but an astrophotographer.

It is nice to look above and be able to name numerous constellations. I was bought one of the cheapish National Geographic telescopes for my birthday last year and have since viewed Orions Nebula, Andromeda Galaxy and the planets. I have taken many beautiful photographs too and in the future I hope to buy a decent telescope, and some filters for my camera.

I won't bore you with the other hobbies but I hope to become a regular visior here and will surely enjoy reading threads by other users.
