Hi,

I am Manish from India. I am an amateur astronomer for the past 20 years. The hobby was full time when I was in my college days. Primarily in to Binocular (Old generation Omega 10x50 binoculars) and a cheap local 2.5 inches newtonian. However the tools served me well for a few years after which I got back to life with a job and family.

I am also in to archaeology and indulge in astronomy of the ancient ages.

I stay in an apartment on the 17th floor in Mumbai and am soon going to invest in a 6" or 8" skywatcher dobsonian.

I am glad to be part of this community and get back to my hobby !!

Hello Manish

A warm welcome to the SGL , was woundering what sort of skies do you have there ?

Also the 8" dobsonian in a good scope you will need collimate the scope and a few nice eyepieces would be nice
