Good afternoon.

Clouded out down here yet again, so thought I'd spend my time profitably and finally register on this forum as the other I used to frequent has gone very quiet :).

Had a reasonably evening's observing earlier this week, although I had no luck seeing any detail on Mars - need something bigger that a 4" Mak, I suspect!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I don't think any of us has had a good view of Mars lately as the 'seeing' has not be at its best so don't change your scope just yet! I hope you have a better time on this forum. There is certainly a lot of experience here and certainly a lot of activity - especially with imaging.

Glad you could come aboard and here's wishing you clearer skies soon.
