Dew shield and heaters are mandatory!

I'd also strongly recommend a "safety clamp" on the dovetail..

(The NEQ6 mounts all seem to have the ADM saddles...mine has the Geoptik equivalent)

They are big old beasts to manhandle if you don't have a permanent setup (me:( ). I'm always extremely careful to check that the clutches are locked and its all good to go before hoisting it up.

The ADM saddle is a very worthwhile upgrade...it grips like a vise once tightened up. I'm not too sure that I'd want to use the standard Synta saddle that comes on the EQ6 with the C11, to be honest.

i got dew shield with mine but have added dew strip to my evergrowing list of accessories i need for this fine scope

I picked up a heated astrozap and not had a problem since, after this week I now consider this as my main scope until I can get a real Refractor.
