Hello everyone! 100% rookie here.

I’m a final year physics student at Durham University. I’ve taken astrophysics modules every year and they’ve become my favourite lectures. So I do have a solid theoretical grasp on what’s out there but I have zero experience with telescopes, therefore I don’t have a clue what to expect from given specifications.

I’m hoping to pick your brain too get some advice from experienced observers to ensure I spend my money wisely when buying my first telescope.

Hi

A warm welcome to the SGL,don;t buy anything until you ask on here

we will need to know How much you would like to spend, do you want to do astrophography or visual and do you have light pollution (street lights, garden lights ect)hopefully no but most of us do
