Hi,

Thought I would introduce myself,

I have had an interest in astronomy for many years, I used to be a member of the Norman Lockyer Observatory In Sidmouth, Devon, Untill moving to the Leeds area.

I am very much a beginner though, I have just yesterday bought a Meade 2090 with 497 Autostar, Could any one let me what you think to this? I thought would be good to learn the skies with and great as a grab and go. also does any one belong to a astronomy club in the Leeds/Bradfor area as I would love to come along and say hello.

Thanks

Dale

Hi Dale, Welcome to SGL.

There is Bradford Astronomical Society who I believe meet on Monday evenings at Eccelshill Library index

I haven't got around to going myself yet. If you have a look at the site there is something mentioned on there about observing sessions as well.

Also take a look at this The Astronomy Centre

The Astronomy Centre is up at Todmorden.
