Hello im Peter and i have been interested in astronomy for a couple of years now but i have only just got round to buying my first telescope which is a Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ which was brought today (17/1/12). Really looking forward to seeing what this thing can do and hopefully get loads of tips of you guys..

Hi Peter and welcome. Try downloading Stellarium- free software and great for getting to know the skies. Ok it is on your computer but it is really brilliant. I think better than SkyX first light which I got with my celestron.
