Just joined. I've been interested in astronomy since buying a department store telescope to see Halley' comet back in the eighties. Also made my own dob with 8.75 inch mirror a couple of decades ago, but never used it much due to the weight - learnt a lot though! After several years of inactivity, I bought a Skywatcher 200P, EQ5 a couple of months ago and absolutely love it! Already seen plenty of detail on Jupiter including GRS and smaller stuff.

That's very same scope I have my eyes on, just cannot afford it for the moment but glad to hear it's a good scope.

Did you get it from First Light Optics by any chance? As that is where I am looking to get mine from, they seem to be a great place to purchase from.
