Hi

Did not manage to get this totaly finished as the old weather won't play ball

So it was taken with my 14" newt and sxvr H35 and inc about 10hrs of lum and 3 1/2 hrs of RGB and processed in Pixinsight;)

I like this. Very detailed, there is a lot going on there. I see about 3 levels of dust clours and whisps in there.

Beautiful, and well balanced for the amount of RGB to Lum. Was that binned colour?

Yes it was binned RGB , but was very poor trying to grab it through virtual fog , I would have liked some more but gave up for this year

Quite attractive piece of work this Harry. The reflection nebula, with it's dual colour, and the sprinkling of colored stars, certainly make this a desireable target.

Just what is this Brown stuff? It was prevalent in Tom OD's M45 POTW too.

Please forgive the reference to another imagers work in your thread, it's merely to get a handle on what looks like dirty soot .

Dirt is about right , it is just dust and dirt that is there rather than other things like gas which can be blue / red etc

Crikey Harry, that's awesome - the best image I've seen for ages. You've really captured the depth of the structure and also getting the darker dust around it is just fantastic. Excellent work on bringing out the detail in the brighter patch whilst also getting the faint regions visible.
