Another beginning astronomer

Hi everyone!

I'm really excited to join this forum and have just bought my first telescope, an Orion XT10i Dobsonian! I'm hoping this telescope will provide a good enough viewing capability along with ease of use so that I don't get too frustrated trying to learn. My wife is also interested in astronomy and I'm hoping one day my 6 month old little girl will be able to use it as well. If anyone has any recommendations on additional stuff or books I could use feel free to let me know.

Welcome to the forum.

"Turn left at Orion" usually gets good press here, and should help you lean your way around the sky.

Downloading "Stellarium" will enable you to see what is going to be in the sky and the times it will be there.
