I'm Martin a Carpenter from South wales (uk).

A newbie to Astrology Astronomy and can't wait to get going as soon as my 150p arrives ;).

I did a little stargazing as a kid many moons ago on a cheap telescope but since I started a passion for physics a few months back and the like, I decided to follow up with space gazzing and after seeing some of the shots of planets etc its got me excited.

My hobbies include Computers, guitar, physics, rc helis and anything which gives a responce of 'thats geeky'.

I'm hoping to start at uni in the next year studying Engineering and hopefully Mechanical after that, fingers crossed tomorrows meeting with the uni goes well.

If there are any other gazers from South Wales please speak up, would love to attend a meet up at some point :D.

Hi Martin, welcome to SGL.

Best of luck with the meeting tomorrow. :D

Thank you mate, itl be a life changing day if I get a placement/plan of courses to take.

Hi Martin,

Welcome to SGL.

Good luck at your Uni meeting .

You will enjoy the 150P, as you can see from my sig that's what I chose to start with and find it a very capable scope.

I think I asked which telescope on here like a year ago under a different username, saved the suggested to my favorites and after many checks on the site I saved, thought why not :).

Thank you everyone.

Just come back from Uni all went very well and I acheived my main target which was to hand in an application form to study at Newport. So I am extremely pleased to say the least.

There are places left which means I could start as early as September and that I never even considered.

My hopefull plans are

Tecnology - applied for

Engineering foundation

and then fingers crossed

Mechincal Engineering

Uni has been massive ambition of mine for a number of years and getting an opportunity to study - its a good feeling.
