First light with 102mm F5 achro

Quick in and out tonight to look at the moon through a hole in the clouds.

Put the achro I got from Gaz on the mount for a look see and I'm very pleased with

it, lovely views of the moon with a barlowed 15mm Plossl.

Gonna have lots of fun with this little scope 8)

Grabbed an afocal image with Nikon 5400 and 40mm eyepiece but everything

was at full stretch to get focus so will be getting an extension tube soon as.

No filter on that image CC, better than I expected.

You can start to see the CA appear as magnification increases but

my Baader contrast booster cuts that right back.

Can't wait to get a widefield M42 with the 102 and the Toucam

Nice pic, Whats this gap in the cloud stuff I thought the sky was supposed to be grey during the day and that lovely orange colour at night As for the :sunny: & :moon: they're myths arn't they

Another quick dash tonight, hole in clouds lasted about 5 minutes.

Tested the 102 with my toucam and pleased to say they work well

together.

About 20 frames (cloud stopped the rest) and Registax.
