  1. For a long time i have been banging on about getting a different scope, but i feel i am more than happy with my present line up , so it will stay this way for the foreseeable

      I know it's an exaggeration, Jules but it doens't seemed to have stopped raining the last 3 months here :-( The last evening session I had was way back in March. Hopefully things will pick up soon.

      Sod's Law Jules. Set up for an evenign here, but lots of haze and cloud now rolling in. Daren't leave the scope out, as some showers are now forecast :(

      No luck with photo`s did not get scope out, shame as i want to try my tal 80 rs on lunar, glad to hear you got some decent views with the 125

      I have noticed the moon the last few nights too, still not entirely clear enough to warrant setting up but it is a welcome visitor.

      That is certainly true, retailers must love cloudy weather :D. It's not so much about change but focus if that makes sense.

  14. Forcast was for clear skies from 10pm so as its been so long i went to dark site, watched the rain, and some great lightning, sky never cleared, but there will be another time

      It was grand here, I could see the mway from my yard and the Double Cluster naked eye..:0 Incredibly still seeing but it was the first time I have seen my lass for a couple of weeks so I was good..:)

      exactly, it turned out thundery and heavy rain last night. I'm glad I was about to set up my kit, otherwise it would've been a disaster

      Just over one of the worst cases in history, everybody got it but mine was the only instance on man flu and therefor much more critical. 2 weeks of feeling like meh.

  16. Got my negative head on, finding it hard to stay strong with this continual cloud and or mist, i honestly have only used a scope about 5 or 6 nights this year, and people wonder why i want to reduce to just one scope

  19. Had a short session outside with the little swift 839, i think i have it working very sweetly now, great little 60mm frac

      Sounds great. Glad you got a session in. It's been raining all day and night here. Do you have plans for the 60mm? Will it be a grab n go, something to store in other places to use, a nice widefield?

      it is grab an go, plan to do a little luna imaging with it, nice to use a quality 49 year old scope

      Been awful here as well. I have never seen anything like it. Ending of May and it is freezing cold, stormy, rainy, and yes...loads of cloud. There hasn't been a clear night since the 11th.

      I know it may sound cheesy, I appreciate that it may come across as a little glib, but you hang in there mate, seriously. Keep your achievements and those stargazing plans in mind as you work, and smile to yourself knowing that no matter how much drudgery and boredom you must put up with, your work is a real possession in these changing fortunes of time and economic crisis.
