-1 shows you are using the default set on the equipment tab
-
I am assuming you have 12v connected ok? Also on the assumption you're using the Ascom driver you could try the native one. It can be USB cable related too but if it's worked before......
-
Not how I imagined you looking to be fair 😀
-
For what it's worth these are my settings. I've tried different but always come back to these and they seem to work for me...
-
You could use the advanced sequencer and set a pop up message to remind you or even use the Ground Station plugin to send a message to your phone 🙂

@Cornelius Varley I can see you're online so not sure if this needs moving somewhere more prominent?
-
oh blimey, condolences and yes he was very well known and respected round here.

Filter size, placement, and sensor size.
scotty38 replied to Nugs's topic in Getting Started With Imaging
I don't have that camera now as I swapped to a mono setup although I went for a QHY294m and 36mm filters just to future proof an upgrade to a 268. Having said that I think there was a small vignette but nothing that flats didn't fix, I certainly never noticed it as being anything obvious -
The settings you want to use won't need changing but when you get to NINA it might be worth using the native driver as sometimes that exposes settings more easily than the ASCOM driver, offset for example.

Just what I did with mine. I determined the time of meridian in the daytime and on a few sunny days marked the direction of the NCP on the concrete. I must have got it about right as my mount adjusters are pretty much centred.

Buying an old ccd camera for guiding

I guess cost comes into it too as something like a ZWO 120 mini isn't too much money new. -
PHD2 Stars not moving enough for calibration
scotty38 replied to Gumminess8083's topic in Getting Started With Imaging
I noticed the guide speeds were massively different for RA and Dec but I must admit I;ve not looked into what issue this would cause, if any -
You could buy a dual rig alignment saddle (like a JTD) but they're not cheap.

If you created profiles for the scopes, important for the FL and platesolving etc, then you could connect to whichever focuser is powered up/available at the time as you should be able to see them in each of your profiles. I think you could sort it without it needing to be too complex or having too many profiles.
-
Also if you're not quite sure where you're at the Framing Assistant also has an option to platesolve and determine your current rotation.

No worries here's an example. Of course it references plugins and kit you may not have but any questions shout up. Oh just thought, one thing that might look odd is the safe and unsafe loops at the end. They are there because my shutter isn't automated yet so once the sequence has finished I drop to those so I still get pinged if it starts raining before I get up. M31.json

It may not be available in the simple sequencer but "centre after drift" will get you back on track after clouds have messed things up.
-
@geeklee I should add that I'm happy to share any of my sequences if only to show you how I have things set up if it helps any. It's also worth noting there are a million and one ways to skin the cats though so anything I have isn't necessarily the best, and definitely not the only, way.....

I'm not sure what you can and cannot do in the simple sequencer as it's ages since I used it. What I do know is that whatever you have in there can be sent to the advanced sequencer which, of course, can then be saved. It would be interesting to see how your "simple" mosaic turns out once exported. Another thing I do know is that if you send multiple targets (panels) to the advanced sequencer for a mosaic it will create them as true individual targets. That i itself is not a bad thing but if you want to round robin the exposures per panel as it were and also cut down on duplicating commands such as autofocus, centre after drift, restore guiding etc etc etc then you need to move those targets in to one imaging group and manage it as a whole. Much easier to do than try and explain though and also makes much more sense once you have your head round the logic too.
