  1. Yep wasn't commenting or disagreeing on its ease of use 👍
  2. @dghent Dale has a good writeup here: https://daleghent.com/2020/08/understanding-camera-offset
  3. No idea really as i just use the inbuilt Local Normalisation and since its inception NSG was "pushed out" somewhat.... I assume you have the latest versions of both PI and NSG installed? There is a thread here that you can use to get hold of John Murphy as the one on the PI forum was closed down. https://www.backyardastro.org/topic/3396-normalizescalegradient-script
  4. Just nit-picking but NINA doesn't platesolve, it passes that to external tools. If you configure it to use ASTAP with its locally installed databases then plate solving is very quick.
  5. Are you using bias and flat darks? If so then that is most likely the cause of your over correction
  6. I'm not sure you've missed anything but some of the colour combos can be a bit hard to read certain things and I created a custom one for that very reason. Have you tired any of the others just to see if it is indeed just the colours?.
  7. The mount is aligned but with a C9.25 attached the RA and DEC axes could be pointing "anywhere". A star alignment is needed to get that bit sorted
  8. It says 15lbs with rings lower down so suspect there are some typos.....
  9. Very nice! More stars = better, in my opinion anyway 😀
  10. Just to add one more voice to this - Stick with NINA! 😀
  11. I have one of these and have no problem but I always make sure my last adjustment is "up" to ensure all slop or whatever is removed if that makes sense.
  12. It hasn't changed, clicking in the fields to edit should still work.
  13. Well it definitely worked and I did not realise there was so much more to this target, great work!
  14. Very nice and some fine processing there!
  15. Oh ok, in that case I'd just look at the documentation. You have the link above for the overview (which is linked in this doc too btw): https://nighttime-imaging.eu/docs/master/site/
  16. Also have a look at Patriot Astro's videos if videos are what you're after.
  17. Very nice but what made you bin the AM5?
  18. Ok, well moving the rig means you should recalibrate and also, even if the rig did not move, a new Polar Align should necessitate recalibration too.
  19. If you're moving the rig then I assume you will do a new polar align when you set back up and so, in theory, should also recalibrate too
  20. If it got in then it should be able to come out..... If it was mine I'd be tempted to leave it in warm airing cupboard, or even fire up the dew straps, and give it a couple of days of gentle drying out and then see what you're left with.
  21. I'd happily share some of mine but my broadband (no pun intended) speeds aren't great. If you google some narrowband data terms there are sites out there that have data you can download. As I say if all else fails I can share some if needed.....
  22. Ah ok on the baud rate then. I was going to mention the guide rate but assumed that's what you wanted. In that case set it as you had it in eqmod. I can't recall why I set mine to 0.9 though, must have read about it in PHD2 docs I guess.
  23. Here are my settings, maybe need 115,200 as the baud rate???
