  1. Not sure what you're saying here as my reply was to the OP and no mention of EQMOD crashing.....
  2. I had a forecast of a few clear hours a few nights ago so thought I'd have a go at M45 as I don't think I've imaged it previously. I managed just over one hour per RGB filter and this image just has an EZ soft stretch applied.
  3. Latest WBPP now includes "Autocrop" which retains the astrometric solution. Cropped and uncropped masters are now saved as output. Obviously this can be turned off too.
  4. Many thanks and you preempted my next question regarding the tools in use 🙂
  5. Very nice image. How much time was spent on the processing?
  6. When I have tried registering per channel I end up with the channels not aligning properly when they get combined. I accept there are probably other steps I should take but I just resorted to choosing one frame from the whole lot and that seems to work ok for me. Could it be better? Not sure 🙂
  7. I use GSS and have park options setup too but when I was using EQMOD I had no issues sending the park command as part of a NINA sequence. He doesn't have a SW mount though 🙂
  8. Regardless of what else you check out have a look at the official PI youtube channel and also have a look at Adam Block's free stuff particularly his WBPP series
  9. You probably need to look at the log and see what is happening in the sequence when the park command is sent. Having said that NINA will send a "standard" command but it's down to the driver to carry it out. You can also run a conformance check on the ascom mount driver if you wish just to make sure it is behaving. You also need to make sure that your eqmod limits are set accordingly so if NINA does crash or go wonky you have a safeguard from hitting tripods etc.
  10. Sorry if I misled you as I have no idea on the software or video capture, just that it's the same principle in NINA for DSO imaging so was just an idea 🙂
  11. Is it just the preview being debayered for viewing? What is the actual saved file like?
  12. Well I cannot say specifically why it takes longer as I don't know DSS at all. I was thinking more for convenience and compatibility if nothing else, but WBPP can be configured for various tasks including things like local normalisation for example but again no idea if DSS does this too. Personally, if I was thinking of doing all my post in PI I'd do the pre too regardless 🙂
  13. Ha yes clear sky 😃 Appreciate the faff involved so yes if it can be gathered more easily I'm with you.
  14. Ah ok I see what you're asking now, apologies for missing the point. I can't imagine the lack of UV/IR making much difference looking at the numbers but.... Agreed the Sii does look decent regardless. Do you have the Sii equivalent from the mono or is your post just a typo re Oiii?
  15. Wouldn't the advantage be that you'd be using every pixel to capture the Sii in the mono versus just the red pixels in the colour?
  16. No idea on DSS but can I ask why not use PI to stack if you're doing the processing there?
  17. Adapter I used: https://www.modernastronomy.com/shop/accessories/adapters/qhy-small-screw-adapter-020063/ You may want this kit anyway and it includes the above adapter: https://www.modernastronomy.com/shop/accessories/qhy-accessories/qhy-m42-all-in-one-adapter-kit/
  18. Not sure about the backspacing as can't quite picture what you need. Re tilt, that's why I didn't like it and bought the adapter that "converts" the bolt spacing. I'll dig out a link. At that time there wasn't an M42 spacer pack but I think there is now, that was the other adapter issue I recalled in my first post.
  19. I have a 294 and originally the S-US and it will connect with the supplied "dovetail" connector or whatever it is called. I did buy an additional adapter that will allow a bolted connection but then I think you will need other adapters possibly. I say possibly as I changed my mind, went 36mm and bought the medium wheel anyway 🙂
  20. @Stuart1971 @ONIKKINEN Just for info the OSC version at Modern Astronomy doesn't have the ship to europe option, unlike the mono, which is the one that was being discussed I thought...
  21. Do you have/need "use telescope side of pier" set in NINA - Options/Imaging - Meridian Flip settings?
  22. Robocopy will do this and in fact there is a NINA plugin that makes it even easier that you can use as part of a sequence.
  23. I did have mine configured the same way but paranoia got the better of me seeing all the rascals out there trying to get in to my system so I closed off the external access and buried my head in the sand 🙂 🙂
