  1. There is an address on there website, with a postcode….🤔🤔
  2. Funny you should say that, I was just about to ask something similar. ‘People have been complaining of here for a long time, and yet the company is still trading as normal, they should have legally been taken to court by now and shut down….if it was me that had lost the amounts of money we are talking about, I would have moved heaven and earth to sort this out, this has gone on far to long, do they have a published business address, if so get there and bang on the door, and get a face to face meet at least… Talking about it on here is not getting anybody anywhere with them…it’s time for some legal action…
  3. Do you think so…looks pretty well collimated to my eyes…🤔
  4. Hello, I got a new better laser for my testing so I re did it, and got it pretty much perfect, but I noticed in your images about of your laser reflections, that’s you have the same three dots as I did, when I had a filter fitted, only had two after I removed the filter, also I did some testes to find out exactly which was the correct dot to use for adjustment, and so I added two more reflective surfaces into the image train, and each one added another dot closer the laser base, so it turns out that the dot furthest away from the laser will always be the sensor cover slip, and so the correct one to use…the more surfaces added further from the sensor, adds more dots closer to the laser base So you may well have gotten the wrong one in your case, but as you say it didn’t matter as they all did not move anyway, in my case even with the cover slip dot static, the sensor window dot still moved slightly…
  5. Yes, it’s out of focus…. Sorry…😀
  6. Can’t help with that I’m afraid, as I have the QHY version, but I do spend a lot of time on the NINA discord, and the NINA author uses the RisingCam IMX571 cameras, so that’s how I know they work perfectly…👍🏻 So you could ask on there, here is an invite…. https://discord.gg/nighttime-imaging
  7. That camera runs perfectly with NINA…👍🏻
  8. I don’t think that is from pinched optics, as that normally manifests in flares on the bright stars…🤔
  9. It is astigmatism, i mentioned this in an earlier post, and would assume that Mr E Reid, would not see this unless he tested the scope under a starry sky, and his tests are only bench tests AFAIK, for collimation and such like…. It sometimes will not, show with certain size pixel cameras, like I said earlier, with my 2600mc I get it in one corner, but with my SXVR M25c with 9 micron pixels it’s perfect….
  10. This astigmatism, is something I get in one corner of my images, when using my 2600c camera on my Tak FSQ85, without the flattener, it’s due to the small pixels, tak have brought out an extra new flattener to combat this as when the scope was designed it was for large pixel cameras…so I guess it’s the same issue only worse, but with a different refractor, as the odd stars are all over the mono image above… But as you say the OSC image is fine, so deffo looks like different optics used….🤔🤔
  11. I think the only fair comparison here, would be between ASI2600c and ASI2600m and I think you would find the 2600m would be better….👍🏻
  12. I would say that’s pretty normal, it will always be very slightly darker in the corners, well in my experience anyway…if your darks come out nice and uniform across the image then the sensor is fine, it’s purely down to the light cone entering the camera…
  13. Read the reply to my message above, where I ask “What is the screening function” from @The Lazy Astronomer it explains what the screening is and does….looks very good 👍🏻
  14. The one on the right is better, the galaxy has lost a small amount of detail in the left image too…👍🏻
  15. What is the screening option for, I have never used it…?
  16. And the backlash issue has been blown out of proportion, it is very easily manageable….👍🏻
  17. I do now, but I didn’t last year, had a nightmare couple of nights, and could not figure out why….until Rob from GSS pointed it out to me….😂😂
  18. The EQ8 is superb, I use one and don’t find the DEC backlash an issue at all, I just have the PA a little off and guide DEC in just one direction, this totally removes the backlash issue as the DEC axis never changes direction, I regularly guide at 0.3 - 0.6 without issue….just have to remember to change the guide direction after a flip….also I use GS server and not EQMOD as it has better features and seems to work much better….👍🏻
  19. Well I got one of those laser pens you linked to, and was supposed to be a class II 1mw laser, and the one that has arrived is a class III 5mw laser, so am a bit loathed to point this at my sensor….😮😮
  20. The Beta testing was done long ago…👍🏻 it was just a mount to consider, good price good payload, people can do there own homework, no arm twisting….
  21. There are many people who have received them now and are using, yes it’s been a long time in the making, but they have finally delivered on the long awaited promises…. I am not personally interested in what happened 2 years ago, on,y what’s happening now, and it seems very promising…but as you say, I too am waiting a while for more feedback, before i part with £3.5k, but if what I read is true, then it sure will give the Mesu a run for it’s money, literally as it’s half the price…and has a proper PA adjuster, unlike the new Mesu’s…that was a big step backwards IMHO But only time and good reviews will tell…👍🏻
  22. Like,I mentioned before, what about the new JTW trident friction mount, at 75kg payload and £3400…? 🤔 https://ensoptical.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=14330
  23. Give it a try, and let us know how you get on….👍🏻
  24. I felt exactly the same and have used APP for years, but in the summer I got PI spent a good few hours on YouTube and watched a load of videos, the best ones being from Adam Block, and then got started, TBH I found it very intuative and it seemed to really suit my way of thinking, now after a couple of months I would not use anything else, and unlike before PI, I actually look forward to processing now and am not phased by the thought of it… Am really glad I spent the time on your tube, Lukamatico on YT is very good and he has just started a set of videos for pure beginners, and Adam Block for the more in depth stuff, he is a real PI master…
  25. Hello again… Peronally I would go for the 11” version, for a couple of reasons, how long will you have to wait for the 8” and will it actually ever be sorted properly.., secondly when would you get the chance for an 11” at a good reduced price, and if you do love the 8” there is a good chance that at some point you will want to upgrade…. As for the mount, I would try it, on your current mount, as you have nothing to lose, and as for a new mount, what about the new Trident by JTW friction drive and now in stock at ENS optical for £3400, 75kg load, and again never need to upgrade…. ‘I personally have the EQ8 and it’s great, it has a few quirks but easily sorted…👍🏻
