  1. Lightweight setup sorted. TS AZT6 Mount, SW extension, IOptron 1.3kg counterweight & M10-M12 adapter for my C/W bar. Quick try out before the clouds and rain appeared. Impressed by the smooth movement’s with a 80mm f7 mounted.
  2. My recently purchased Mak 150. Flocked the tube & fitted tube rings, handle & new ADM dovetail. Also fitted a R&P focuser. Not had a lot of clear nights with good seeing lately, so a bit of an ornament at present!
  3. Good pair of 10x50 bins in the for sale section if you’re quick 👍
  4. Not the postman, but 🎅. SCT R&P focuser from the wife. Another addition for the Mak 150. Merry Christmas everyone.
  5. Didn’t think all would arrive before Christmas after ordering last weekend, Covid-19, the back log on the mainland & then having to cross the Irish Sea. 182mm tube rings from Microglobe, 11inch ADM dovetail & other items from FLO, handle from WDS & M8 -M6 spacers from Fleebay. Now to fit to my SW Mak 150 & flock the inside at same time. Well done to all suppliers & Merry Christmas to me! & all on SGL 🍻
  6. Frac meet Mak! Crisp clear night to try out the new Mak 150 partnered with the TS 80mm photo line. Pin sharp views on the moon in both scopes, perfect partnership!
  7. Got a few pics in daylight at 4pm before they disappeared behind the roof top of the house opposite. Easily viewed with 14mm Morpheus & Mak 150 between the clouds. Not a good forecast for tomorrow though.
  8. With the weather forecast tomorrow 100% clouds at 4-5pm & pretty clear late afternoon today, I got my Mak 150 out for a look before they disappear over the roof tops. Searched out Jupiter in the finder as still light at 4pm. Both Jupiter and Saturn easily in the same view in my 14mm Morpheus. Beautiful sight with Saturn hovering above Jupiter. Got a couple of phone pics to keep also.
  9. 😮 amazing find! All complete & original boxes 👍
  10. Delivery courtesy of FLO. Skymax 150 Mak in the Black Friday sale & a ADM saddle for my Ercole.
  11. The only zoom I have experienced is the Hyperflex 7.2-21.5. Good quality construction, smooth zoom action, excellent views & not expensive. I bought two to use in my binoviewers. Never regretted my purchase. Use at both f7 & f12 & the quality is really good. I have viewed the moon in cyclops with the hyperflex & Baader Morpheus eyepieces & there ain’t much between them, that’s how good the hyperflex is! Don’t have any problem with zoom settings without click stop in the binoviewers. You can judge the magnification using the view in each eye quiet accurately.
  12. Hi Trentend, both the adapters you have tagged are correct & will enable you to connect to 2” accessories with your MAK127.
  13. I used insulation tape to build up the bar for my clamp. 👍
  14. Amazing pic, plenty of detail. 👍
  15. Hi Jeremy, TS have a 2.6X GPC which I use on my WO binoviewers. It also gives you 180mm of back focus which is why I bought it. Purchased mine from 365 astronomy. I observe with binoviewers 80% of the time nowadays. Thanks Andy.
  16. 35mm film canisters, desiccant packs & M6 countersink bolts. Canisters fit snug into 1.25 adapters & make cheap desiccant caps.
  17. I don’t have one of these covers , but kept the link as they look good quality for a reasonable price https://neilross758.wixsite.com/cygnus-astro-covers/breathable-covers
  18. Just awoken to amazing conditions also John. Wasn’t forecast as well for the Isle of Man. Popped outside to be greeted by perfectly clear skies with the moon & Mars high in the sky. Quickly took the scopes from the garage for a quick session. My 1st seeing of Mars since early summer & I’m amazed at the detail through my 80mm frac with binoviewers, 2.6 GPC & hyperflex zooms at 13mm (not sure of the mag?). The little frac views where better than my MAK127. Pink disc with obvious grey details seen. Mercury also high in the eastern sky & the moon just below zenith. Not seen conditions like this for a while, no turbulence & perfectly still views to take in the details. Nice way to start the day! Thanks Andy.
  19. Hi, binoviewers are not for everyone. Heard lots of people say that they can’t merge the images, but the looseness of the eyepiece holder isn’t correct to me & probably not helping the matter. If you purchased them new I would contact the supplier. Hope you get it solved happily & get to enjoy binoviewing, as it’s a fantastic way to observe. Thanks Andy.
  20. Arrived yesterday as we were leaving for a staycation. Ercole Mount thanks to @paulastro for packing well & posting to the Isle of Man.
  21. Yeah, that’s the type 👍 it’s weaver.
  22. The easiest way I found was to use a gun barrel sight clamp. I bought 2 & both work. They are less than £5 to purchase from the well known bidding sight. Did have to add some wraps of insulation tape to build up the diameter on the bar for the one mounted on the binoculars in the pic. Thanks Andy.
