  1. I've not used one personally but from what others say help's with seeing granulation. I use the baader K-line filter. Slightly more expensive but enhances falcuie and granulation. The top two screenshots use the baader K-line filter. But it's only imaging only, not good for visual.
  2. Congratulations on your first solar image. Well done, especially with a mobile camera.
  3. Hi Paul, the new active region has been designated AR2823.
  4. I was dodging the shower's today and the gusts of wind but happy I got HA, WL and CaK wavelengths before it turned even worse.
  5. Hi all, seems more activity. New active region with two spots in the South Eastern quadrant. Screenshots in WL and Cak for the mo.
  6. Hopefully Tuesday seems promising, Active region should be better placed by then anyway.
  7. Hi all, just posting ha and cak wavelength image's from Friday. New active region.
  8. I went out early cus, forecast later wasn't very good and awful the next several days.
  9. Hi all, heads up, new spot group, screenshot only.
  10. I recently bought an expensive Lunt CaK module from Astroshop eu in their sale and it was a very smooth transaction with no extra vat or customs fees on my part. Just payed for the price on their website and about £20 ups service. Would definitely use again.
  11. Thanks I'm really hoping it's clear skies. I'm going to hopefully capture it in HA and CaK.
  12. I've expanded my HA to include the three wavelengths with solar observation and imaging to include WL and Calcium II K. It meant buying a new scope too for the calcium II K plus mounting two scopes on the Neq6. Still planning more to triple mount for the HA, WL and Calcium II K scope's. Add another mono camera and baader K-line filter. I've not been on holiday since August 2019 and probably not again till 2022 so why not, lol.
  13. I hadn't posted my new 100mm Achromatic Calcium II K scope. Works really well with the Lunt b1800 CaK module.
  14. I've one of those for my Cak imaging. It's a great scope and doesn't break the bank unlike the Lunt CaK b1800 module to go with it.
  15. Managed to capture two Lyrids out of the 12 we saw and the 3 sporadic. Only taken with an all sky camera.
  16. April Lyrids early hours of this morning the 22nd. Moonlight gave a little interference but was ok. Saw 15 meteor's, 12 being Lyrids and 3 sporadic from 1.50am until 3.30am. just after 3am was when the most was seen. Several quick brilliant flashes. One longer bright lyrid leaving a distinct smoke trail. Cold got the better of us and had to pack it in. All in all, a lovely, but cold meteor shower.
