  1. Hi I've got a mint pair of these, but I had to pay £90 for them!
  2. Really nicely made video and I'll be checking out your others. I do most of my observing through a 15x70 bino mounted on a carbon tripod. I think using a tripod or monopod with any size of bino makes a big difference to the detail of what I can see. Cheers Martin
  3. Nice pictures! I've seen some flights of geese or swans flit across and a couple of aircraft but all quite a rare event. Do remember that they jolted out my lunar reverie. Cheers Martin
  4. Many thanks Stephen for all your work. Always enjoy reading the Newsletter. Cheers
  5. Hi Dean, I've got a Celestron C8 which I use with a Williams bino and Starguider 25mm eyepieces which I find are a big improvement over the 20mm ones supplied with the Williams. I think I get about 89x mag. which gives enough detail and field of view to keep me interested but I'm thinking of getting a decent Barlow to up the mag. a bit. Cheers Martin
  6. Hi Graham, those shadows on craters and peaks are awesome. As a newbie can you tell me the area you were looking at, it looks familiar ? I had some very nice views of Clavius around the same time. Cheers Martin
  7. Cracking bit work! Love the full moon image.
  8. Really nice images, I'd be very happy if I'd taken those.
  9. Hi, as the scope uses 1.25" eyepieces as does the Williams Bino nose piece it should fit but I'm not able to say what views it would give with your scope, though I'm sure people here will be able to advise . I use the Williams with a Celestron C8 and C90 Mak , both different types of scopes to yours. But I must say that with the Williams views of the moon, which is my main target as I live in central Cardiff, are delightful and relaxing using two eyes.. Our hosts First Light Optics (who can supply the Williams) from whom I've got my kit would give you great info on your set up and what works best re eyepieces. Cheers Martin
  10. Good news! I'll look out for updates on this initiative.
  11. Very soggy here in Wales. As per usual! Let us know how you get on. Cheers!
  12. Hi Ruud, Thanks for your answer and I'll check out the SVS link and the 3D version of Quickmap. Cheers and clear skies.
  13. Hi Ruud, Thanks for the Quickmap link. Is it possible to reverse the poles which is the view I have with my scope? I've read the user guide but can't find a mention of this.
  14. Hi Marvin, yes I saw that too and very beautiful it was. I recall very vividly the last time I saw this phenomenon which was a New Years eve about 10 years ago. I guess it only occurs when the moon is very close to full?
  15. Very nice images! I'm quite new to observing and living in cloudy central Cardiff I expected the worst. It was a real buzz to see this transit through a Williams bino and C90 Mak where the solar disk filled the view. Cheers
  16. I love looking at the old moon in the arms of the young one. Unfortunately very cloudy and wet here in Wales, U.K. I like your graphic though! Best wishes Martin
