  1. Second item is a David Chandler item, replaces my Phillips one, far easier to read under red light to me. All part of my ongoing Luddite existence.
  2. Postie busy today. Happy to report Double Star atlas following encouragement by Ed NGC1502 to look at them.
  3. Let's hope you have no close shaves with the Tak!
  4. A sad day when you have to sell off fine kit Derek. Hope the Celestron's still provide enough of a view for your pleasure.
  5. Looks like a Rocket with a silo cover over, so RocketMount
  6. Late to the party as always, I now know why you bought that little dob. This makes great sense and use of your present available mount and camera, nice thinking. Hope the sky gods play nice soon, because if they do I can get out and play too!
  7. Don't we all Ade, don’t we all. That is a very nice mount, had considered it myself, but got an Altair Sabre more local to me.
  8. I look forward to your build posts, something I would love to do myself but as a wood butcher rather than carpenter, feel may be beyond my skill set.
  9. I remember going to a slide show in Grange in the early 1980's and seeing Borrowdale by star light. It has stuck with me ever since.
  10. Borrowdale and Keswick are very much a special place to me, so really enjoyed your images. I will try more than a sunset shot when I visit in a few weeks, clouds willing of course.
  11. The one big regret I have is selling my GP2 mount, it was so well made. It now belongs to another here on SGL. As to Mikes OCD, I must point out the white counterweights sets off that white Tak rather well.
  12. Sell? But, but, but, but you are The Astro Magpie! Have to say joking aside, far too often specification and expectation fail to merge with many purchases.
  13. Chris, I know your scope hut is small, but that small?
  14. Gina I am looking at scopes as well as eyepieces, it’s the cloud that is making this happen of course. Now if someone could invent a cloud cutting scope, that would sell well in the UK
  15. Nice JeremyS, very nice. That CamKix case is interesting, where did it come from please?
  16. Please tell Mike An f6 f8 shoot out would be interesting
  17. Hi Jules, just saw the other post, Bresser f8, sounds nice. I was tempted myself on the sale website.
  18. My Second Newt another Skywatcher Explorer 150p f5, what a sky surfing simple set up it is, stupid that I sold the first one and then went full circle. These are small, light and simple. All very luddite and simple, ignore the AVX, it was a departure from simple and is now working for another. All sits on either a Skytee 2 or an Altair Sabre 2. This time, it stays. I have bought it a nice Geoptik bag, so its a keeper.
  19. My First Newt a Skywatcher Explorer 150p f5, what a sky surfing simple set up it was.....
  20. And we all know just how good its being too, nice that you have joined the Newt Brigade.
  21. Now that looks an interesting read, please feed back on how it reads.
  22. Nice one John, something I really desire myself.
