  1. Kev, Looking good. I would put a full length cover of baton or metal over that 6mm gap myself, security screws holding it on. Don't forget to paint behind that keep and raw edge. That colour looks really nice indeed. I had to laugh, I misread the baton fitting initially and thought it said bathroom. Thought, hell yeah, why not, then pondered and thought, hell yeah, why not indeed, a loo is so needed in the cold.
  2. That looks great Alex, interesting roofing material as others have said.
  3. Busted RayD, busted. Nice paper though.
  4. Had to tease, but I think a nice floral ??pattern would be nice ?
  5. You are close for the structure, the fit out will take some time no doubt, but you will be under cover and warmer so can crack on inside. So what wallpaper are you going for?
  6. An ever evolving build Kev, but always looking better each posting.
  7. Spoken from experience Roger? Certainly I have done such things myself, worse many years ago completed a new pipe run and then fixed into it the next morning!
  8. William Optics 2" Diagonal to use with the Vixen ED103s. Brand new in box but used from ENS, it was still sealed in its bag, sorry FLO I was about to pull the new trigger. In the new 2" Baader Clicklock on the focuser of the ED103s and its wonderful, nice fit. I may change the WO 2" to 1.25" for a Baader clicklock as well.
  9. Post Person Patricia brought me a small box with Micro Mount Meteorites within. Purchased from SD Fosils on eBay. See my posting in my Meteorite post.....
  10. and then.... made me smile Francis, made me smile ? and today I needed a smile
  11. James, looking good, looking really good. ? Looking more an observatory each posting.
  12. I was more concerned about slipping over on its mirror finish myself
  13. Sounds and looks great Kev, that door with cladding looks the business. Enjoy your dinner, nice daughter, one of mine just came in having said no dinner needed tonight, asked what's for dinner as I dished up, ended up having 1/2 of mine.....grrrr I like my food.
  14. Look forward to seeing the build come along, clearly you have fine woodworking skills Francis. I however do not, I just butcher it. So as Stu says above, watch with interest.
  15. Post person attended this morning with a padded envelope. I have purchased a highly recommended accessory for my Vixen ED103s. Thanks for this to Dave @F15Rules
  16. ED103s first sit on a tripod at home. Now this would look great on a GP2 would it not..........grrrr see above posts^^
  17. Unashamed old thread revival for us Vixen fans.... 80M Achromat when it had it's first light.
  18. I still regret the day I sold this, really do, it would have sat with my ED103s so well. You live and learn of course.
  19. 'Dad time' is rather more special than astro time in my opinion, so time well spent Kev. I am at the opposite end of the uni journey, just started year 1.
  20. Progress continues, nice job so far. Feeds my want monster each time I look though.
  21. Post Person also delivered another book, lots of reading now to be done. eBay bargain at £6 including post and its like new. This now make 3 O'Meara books in the Deep-Sky Companions series I have. A year ago I was not really into deep-sky at all, how we change.
  22. Post person visited today, sorry for terrible image and photo-shopping, wanted to show what I want to see with it.... 2" Orion UltraBlock filter, know it works on the Veil. Used of AB&S, paid a little bit over the odds, but I wanted it.
  23. Well after your paint mishap things are looking better. Note you have twins, something we have in common, we have identical girls. This observatory is looking smarter by the minute, you must be pleased with how it’s looking.
  24. Nice woodwork Kev, wish I was as capable. My woodwork teacher at school suggested I should be kept from things wooden.
