  1. I think in "View" if you "subtract main image from reference image" then save that image is the star layer.
  2. I don't think I tried unguided. I have issues with my SS2K and I think it is a break in the wire. One day I will sort it out.
  3. Yes I have used one. It guided very well via ST4 connection and various guide cams. I did have to fettle the backlash on the dec and in the end settled on guiding in Dec in one dirrection most of the time.
  4. I did mine with a meter a good few years ago I will have to borow it again and redo it now we have the LED lights Date/Time: 2015-10-14 02:26:00 SQM: 19.88 Device: SQM-L (lens)
  5. Not heard anything on the planetarium or schools grapevine so I have assumed its been dropped.
  6. With my OAG I had to fiddle with how far it was in the light path to get a good round star. Try sorting it out in daylight with a distant object - also a pencil is a good friend mark the drawtube whrn the main scope i in focus then mark it again when the OAG is in focus and that is the size of spacer needed. BTW OAG stars do not have to be spot on in focus, with one scope i had seagulls as my guide stars and it still worked fine , not saying it was ideal but it orked.
  7. I thnk its the same one as the guy in Nigeria that has 1M to give away
  8. Back to ST4 guiding and reduced the RMS by at least a third even in this wind.

Ditched the USB hub and used a new USB cable and the "hatching"has gone from the image.

    Happy days .

Now if only the cloud would do the decent thing.

      Hawksmoor

Very much a mixed bag of weather in Lowestoft. Some snow, the odd clear night with stars and a hard frost and then rain in torrents with thunder and lightning. Oh and one day we had a beautiful rainbow.

      Weird!
