  1. I just did my 200PDS with a new steeltrack i was also disappointed that the guide said i could use existing holes as a guide but that wasn't going to work i covered the area with masking tape, drew on a centre line for both axis making sure they were square then taped the base plate of the focuser onto the OTA drilled one and bolted it on making sure it was still square then did the diagonal opposite next it was a nervy experience but all looks ok and shows that the label on the ota is not square!
  2. I went for a steel track managed to fit it ok although drilling holes in the OTA was a bit nervy!
  3. i used one of these link which is 3Amp to plug into the 12V cigar socket on the powertank hope that makes sense
  4. ran mine off the tank with a 3a cigar socket adapter no probs
  5. been looking at a powermate need to save some pennies
  6. nice image can i ask what scope/camera/exposures etc you used?
  7. I did this on top of a 4m waste pipe it was too high and attracted too much light polution from street lighting so brought it lower down
  8. Not sure if you know but If you ssh from a PC then you need to make sure you use the ssh -l astroberry so you are trying to log on as the astroberry user not a windows one
  9. I have a 200pds I do like the fine adjust but it's always struggled with my dslr
  10. It's the stock skywatcher dual speed Think I will upgrade to a moonlit or steeltrack
  11. looks like its slightly different every time but not consistent i am going to look at tightening the focuser tube a little to see if that helps i have been thinking for a while that its not very sturdy
  12. thank you very much i am going to have a look at this later and try and get some diagnostic images up
  13. finally have got round to sorting out some flats shows that the image is not centre so I am guessing my colmination is off although it looks ok through the cheshire! could this be the focuser not being square on the OTA?
  14. Need to look at upgrading my focuser on the 200pds what's the best way to go? I have heard moonlite or steel track mentioned ? Any opinions? The standard focuser is a bit too floppy and doesn't like my Nikon that much even after many adjustments
  15. Had a reply to my question about this from OVL the SKywatcher UK importers and they said 'the quoted payload is for imaging'
  16. just do a new install of the astroberry server and you will be sorted copy and paste does work you just need to select paste from the edit pull down menu and in terminal in linux/raspbian etc if you arrow up and down you can select previous commands and edit them which in windows cmd you cant
  17. running mine on the 2gb rpi4 all works well even the latest version of Astroberry has fixed the issue that was stopping me use my serial relay to fire the Nikon 7000 remote shutter for long exposures its a very slick system now (IMO)
  18. lovely images well done lots of hours in that lot
  19. think I will save up a little more and go for the 071
  20. Ok I have £1200 budget Keeping my 200pds on my eq6rpro Fed up with DSLR and now my 1300D has gone pop I would like a cooled OSC Atm looking at the ZWO range and the 294mcpro or should I save a bit more and go for the 071 ? Or are there alternatives for similar money / performance?
