30 hrs no power from the ice storm, then the net collapsed for 6. I'm sure glad the views make up for some of the weather lol!

Sometimes a storm with wet snow/sleet and rain will hit with dropping temps coating trees, power lines and everything else with ice. The hwy the other night was covered at first in slush/snow and then clear ice... the worst storms are with high winds which will snap trees, towers etc. We could only do 10-20mph on the way home with blowing snow cutting visibility to zero at times.
These storms can create beautiful effects ironically.

I compared to the LZ which is my most in focus loving eyepiece and it had - by eye- about 1/4" left, the ZZ about 3/8". I'm not sure if infinity is reached at 1500 yds in this scope though. Still the relation ship stays- the LZ focuses on the stars and the ZZ needs more out focus than the LZ, so it should focus.

It is a concern!
There are a few things IMHO- I believe we cold adapt and once winter sets in it is a lot easier on us than when it first starts- I was very hot working outside in my sled suit and if you keep your head, feet and core warm it helps the hands. Not to say that you can't get frostbite...
Shaun, thanks for the concern !
ps I hope I didn't just unleash a torrent of one liners I can't keep with lol!
