  1. Might be jumping a tooth ? The worm is sprung but quite often the positioning nut is too tight. Relatively simple fix (try you tube search)
  2. I'm shocked that anyone would be shocked that DHL lost anything ... quite shocking really 🙂
  3. have a skim through this thread, should find info you need ... Hope you get it sorted 🤞🏻
  4. It can be quite flakey, worth trying a few times ... Have a cuppa and try again. EDIT - I've attached an old one, better than nothing - just update it when you can ZWO ASI Cameras driver Setup.exe
  5. Hi all, been doing some back space adjustments on both scopes and have a few filter / adaptors thoroughly stuck . What do you all use to 'unstuck' them ? @mods, wasn't sure where to post this so feel free to move.
  6. Possibly ... But check before ordering ! In stock here ... https://www.rothervalleyoptics.co.uk/ovl-field-flattener-with-t-ring-adaptor.html
  7. My 120m (old usb2 version) started doing it too. Never sorted it ! Saved up for a 290m mini.
  8. It's difficult to say without looking but I know my C8 edge takes a good 90 minutes with a fan running before I can use muck more than an 18mm Ep. You really will need a good cool down / good seeing to use a 14 mm ep. ---edit--- If you feel it's a focusing problem, maybe try a clothes peg on the know ... it will give more precise movement. Also try running the focus all the way in and out several times, maybe the grease has gone 'gloopy' with age.
  9. I think we'd need a crystal ball to answer this one unfortunately ... Just keep checking I guess.
  10. Can't quite remember but I think you can just choose ' previous alignment ' or similar.
  11. IMHO @Cosmic Geoff is giving you good advice. C9.25 is long focal length suited to planetary / advanced DSO users with guiding and expensive well set up mounts. Obviously it's not impossible but unless you are very lucky with conditions etc you will soon get disheartened by images with long egg shaped stars. Probably the closest to an all round scope would be the C8 but that is still hard to image with. Have a look on the imaging section here and check the equipment used in profiles, you'll see lots of HEQ5, EQ6R and 70 to 80mm refractors. For the price of the C9.25 alone you could get an HEQ5 / 80mm frac for imaging and a 8" synscan Dob for visual and still have money left over 🙂 You're doing the right thing by researching before buying though, wishing you all the best of luck and clear skies.
  12. Should be in the box ... https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/tutorials/best-back-focus-length-solutions-55mm.html
  13. Not 100 % sure as not using stellarium but you probably need Ascom and EqMod. Easier option is the Synscan app form here https://skywatcher.com/download/software/synscan-app/ this will allow your PC to control the mount.
  14. Is it worth trying the skywatcher app to rule out something in eqmod ? https://skywatcher.com/download/software/synscan-app/ I use it with my Az-gti and find it works really reliably.
  15. Positive thoughts 👍🏻 as you say, learning about scopes can be as much fun as using them 😊
  16. The focuser tube should move in and out to achieve focus, are you saying it is stuck ?
  17. Looking at the second picture, it looks like the focuser tube has been wound in way too far. Does it move away from the secondary mirror when focusing ? Olhando para a segunda foto, parece que o tubo focalizador foi enrolado demais. Ele se afasta do espelho secundário ao focar?

Hi Andy, lots of types of scopes available, what are you interested in ? Planets , deep sky objects ? This will tailor the scope to suit your interests ...
  19. Totally agree, just answering the question ... What does the EC stand for.
  20. Encoders, helps to keep the tracking more precise.
  21. Maybe try connecting with https://sites.google.com/site/elyastroclub/home Ely astro group ... they may have a member that could help.
