  2. It amazes me the build quality of yours and other members woodworking me I cannot even saw straight. When I built my shed I measured and measured again before cutting angles ready for the roof none of the them are the same my son had to use off cuts to get the roof sloping right. 😁 Paul
  3. Brilliant report been 3 weeks since I have been out rain again tonight Paul
  4. I totally agree my best views of Mars where through my Tal 100rs beat my Meade 127mm may I just say those are excellent sketches.
  5. I have put a couple of observing lists in the directory you have listed (internal storage/skysafari6pro/observing lists ) but they dont show up when I go there it says I have no app installed to open this file when clearly I have any help please.
  6. BST Starguiders have a great rep less than £50 but punch well above there weight. When I had my 200p I had 6 of them from 5mm to 25mm I still own 3 the 25mm the 15mm and the 8mm, the 15mm is my goto ep really is a very good eyepiece.
  7. After doing a factory reset on my phone I have downloaded a couple of these lists but my phone says cannot open them even though got Sky safari 6 pro back in any help please.
  8. I have a Meade 127mm on a EQ5 mount with a EQ6 tripod adapter plate and pier extension works very well for visual only as it is at the top end on the mounts load capacity.
  9. A warm welcome to SGL. A 4" Refractor is a great scope especially on Planets, clusters (globular and open) and brilliant on double and multiple star's.
  10. Andy, Still a long way to go exacerbated by on going medical problems one severe one being my back. I will get there slowly though I have to. Paul
  11. My good friend told me about this I have seen it twice it was amazing, put NGC 6992 in goto and let it get there now put NGC 6995 this time when you hit go keep watching through the eyepiece the mount traces the loop before your eyes. First time I did this it was like seeing Saturn for the first time thrilling. Sounds like you had an amazing time taking it all in, just wish I could get out been cloudy and raining here for over two weeks and forecast is terrible. Great report I have wrote down all the different objects no sure if I will be able to catch it all but you never know thanks.

    A warm welcome to SGL
  18. I have read to try Rigel first if you can split that you have every chance of splitting Sirius.
  19. Thank you everyone I have read the separation is getting wider I think if I am right around 2030 its at its maximum so now is a good time to view it and for the next several years. I thought I would ask especially as I like my double stars.
