  1. Yes I have the 10" for DSO`s and the Tal for everything else.
  2. It depends what you want to view clusters, planets and double and multiple stars systems are fantastic in them even a 4". If you have light pollution refractors are great they punch through it.
  3. Smashing report brilliant getting Tegmine with a 4" I've not managed that yet but I haven't had a good night I did split it with the 5".
  4. Can anyone tell me the updated starsense version please so I can check mine is up to date please. Mine is 1.1.7.4
  5. Only just coming around been in so much pain. What a night Milkyway through Cassiopeia, first time in a dark site with the 10" M42 with a UHC was mesmerising, double cluster was awesome, Crab nebula was like a snowstorm really shone out. Only disappointment was the app it does not give you loads of objects to look at if I could use Sky Safari it would be better, I forgot to write some objects down but it didn't matter as it was that cold my S10 lost all its battery in a hour and 20 minutes from fully charged even came up with a warning triangle with a thermometer in it. I used a power bank and put both in my inside coat pocket so it would charge. Cannot thank Danny enough it was a great outing brilliant sky for future reference I need better socks to keep the heat in and wear more layers especially on my legs, apart from the 3hr journey time with the M56 being closed stuck in the traffic for an hour and a half it was brilliant. Great company with Danny and Paul that camera mount was brilliant if I get into astrophotography I will be getting one.
  6. 30mm screws turned up and a book I saw dirt cheap. Installed as well.
  7. Got these today for the 10" but unfortunately they are not long enough I ordered 20mm as that was the length of the original ones but I never took account of the 3/4mm they went in the holder. Now sent for 30mm ones if anyone could use these let me know.
  8. Yes I see the green hue and see a blue hue in the ring nebula.
  9. Well as the magazine has not turned up I phoned today, they took the money out on the 11th 3 days after I ordered it lady on the phone said sorry we dont have that issue have you been refunded a couple of days later, no I said she said can I put you on hold for a minute came back and said she has escalated it and they would be in touch. I am only leaving it until next Tuesday then I am phoning again fuming here if they did not have the magazine why take the money.
  10. Get yourself these use the front of the trunking wrap it around the ota then make a jubilee clip up. Make two and put one on the outside of your rings. You can then leave your rings loose and rotate the ota so the focuser is in a better position by doing this the ota cannot slip out of the rings and keeps balance. Hope this helps
  11. Does anyone know the size of the collimation screws in the Secondary of the 10" Celestron starsense please.
  12. I got mine from a reputable dealer but it was out not saying yours is but better to check. If you do a search on here plenty of members will say the say thing. Just put it in the scope and turn it 360° and watch if the dot does not move.
  13. I'm gutted I have had many conversations with him as we both had refractors I picked his brain a few times. Such a sad loss to the group.
  14. A warm welcome to SGL, just be careful if you bought a cheaper laser collimator they themselves need collimating.
  15. A warm welcome back to SGL
