  1. Fill the legs with play sand and you can also suspend weight from the spreader plate not too much 2kg will do, make sure the weight barely touches the floor.

  4. I have one 2" ep I dont use it I have a 10mm Vixen silver top and the views are crisp and clear I barlow that with my Tal x2 barlow for higher mag and its a delight to use. I have a 11mm Televue plossl which is very similar I stupidly sold my 20" televue plossl. My go to eyepiece is the 15mm BST that is a superb ep for the money.

I dont know about astrophotography but if you have aligned the polar scope up with the mount like you said on a TV aerial to check put the end of the aerial on the ring in the polar scope either you or someone else rotate the weight bar and make sure the end of the aerial stays on the circle all the way around. if you use android download Synscaniit from here https://synscaninit-2.soft112.com/ that will show you everything to put in the handset and Polaris position once you have done that do your 2 or 3 star alignment and it should be accurate.   11. Yes Wow for the picture and yes I have never seen M51 from home or the Leo trio I have even purchased a 10" dob, had a couple of clear nights here but the wind was horrendous blowing a hooley no point setting up as the scope would of been all over the place. Paul
  12. Right thanks everyone I've sorted it dodgy contact on the battery box.
  13. I have opened it up getting 1.72 volts at the switch not sure if this is right. When I check the resistor for continuity it beeps off and on and shows various readings from 0.062 to 0.217 can anyone help me please.
  14. Only seen the pup once in my now sold Meade 127mm even then I had to out Sirius on the edge of the FOV to see it.
  15. I have seen subtle colours in what was my Meade 127 and especially in my Tal 100rs cracking multiple.

  17. Lucky you I am yet to see the Leo trio from home in 11 years since I got my first scope.
  18. I must say that is a lovely set up love the tripod I would like something like that for mine but really I could do with a new mount, great read Magnus once again.
