Photos taken during the Total Solar Eclipse in 2012, Pictures were taken at Kingfisher Resort in the tablelands east of Cairns, Australia. We weren't able to see total solar eclipse because of mist coming through mountain pass. We were able to enjoy the eclipse though when the skies darkened and when the skies darkened and all the birds stopped singing , when the eclipse passed there was a wild racket when the birds and bats stated singing again.

My (very amateurish) attempts at astrophotography!
Recently invested in an 8" Dobson Skyliner, so these photos are taken using that and a basic point-and-shoot camera. (I think it's a Samsung 5x zoom lens - i.e a pretty basic camera!)- Album created by Nadine2704
