  1. The ADC needs to go between the Barlow and Camera, i think you might be a little over-sampled with the ADC.
  2. Nicely captured Kon, Mercury is a tough target and like Venus is better imaged in daylight higher up in the sky. A phase is as good as i have ever managed, but there are some stunning images captured during the day. It is even harder to find than Venus in daylight unfortunately.
  3. Very nice Reggie, it will be interesting to see the rings of Saturn edge on again. My 1st ever Saturn image was with the rings "edge on" manually tracked and captured with a Toucam Pro Camera around 15 years back, when we were still modding webcams for astro use 🙂
  4. Very well sketched, some of the red light torches are way too bright even on the dimmest setting. Epsilon Lyra is such a pleasing object to find and view !
  5. A fine sketch, some nice star colours in there if memory serves me correctly. I have not viewed this for a while, it would be nice to revisit this gem again .
  6. Managed to get another session this morning of the active regions that have been transiting. Conditions not great for the c9.25, but images turned out fairly well i guess The region here is the small one nearest the centre, best chance of some decent Granulation as well. The seeing wasn't great, but a decent end result C9.25, homemade 200mm Baader filter, Asi 174mm camera and conitinuum filter. 60 second videos, stacked 5% for these images, sharpened in Registax 6, coloured for aesthetic appeal.
  7. Always adds a little bit extra interest to a set of images
  8. Nice set of images, some fine details visible there.
  9. I visited Weybourne a couple of years ago, even in summer the lighter skies were very good
  10. Interesting read Magnus, i guess if you live where its really bad you don't even worry about the loss of the dark in the summer the light pollution in Bedfordshire (Biggleswade) feels like it has got much worse in recent years.
  11. Superb images Paul, very interesting video as well. Been to Norfolk 100s of times and never heard of Orford Ness. I particularly like the "Black Swan" image 🙂
  12. A fine set of Solar discs there, plenty of activity at the moment.
