20/11 - Copernicus at sunrise

Not had the scope out for quite a while (as per everyone else), so when the chance to have a shot I had a little go again. The transparency was not that great and the image  is a little soft (I was using the IR pass to help with the seeing). So here it is, one of the more recognisable craters on the lunar surface. The nearby Montes Carpatus are just catching some sun. Processed in PIPP do remove the effect of wind on the OTA. a stack of 127 frames stacked in AS2, sharpened in RS6, finished in PS5. Thanks for looking.

Nice one Steve, I've missed seeing you images lately.

BTW I had a great view of Copernicus a couple of nights ago when it was right on the terminator, looked spectacular.

Look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

All the best.

Thanks all...its been a while. The transparency was meant to be quite bad, but seemed to be ok. I do like this crater, though most of the time it is always too bright to image it nicely. using an IR pass filter reduced the glare somewhat and steadied the seeing.. I have some others but a bit busy to look at them.
