Large prom 4 July 2015

Most of today I have spent battling Newton's rings and some broader bands. Flats refused to get rid of the rings 
In desperation I tried putting the camera nose piece as wonky as possible and still be safely held. Fortunately that did get rid of the Newton's rings but not the bands, however flats removed those 

Usual gear, Quark, Megrez 90 and ZWO 174MM camera, no FR.









Best 180 out of 2000 in AS!2 with processing in Imppg and Photoshop CS2

Nice prom Dave, I've been imaging it on and off all day, not done any processing yet, actually trying without the f/r today, looks rubbish on screen but hoping processing will sort it.

I too had a go at tilting today to get rid of the newt rings. I found I could get rid of the rings but have maybe lost some detail. I still have to process the images though to make a conclusion.
