Planisphere ?

Hi all

Anyone know anywhere with an appropriate planisphere for the UK in stock?

I've tried amazon and WHSmith and both were out of stock after placing the order.

I thought I'd ask you helpful lot rather than trying another seller on amazon and getting the same result

Ordered a Chandler Planisphere from FLO...It came within 2 days of order..Not advertised on their webpage, but if you phone and ask im sure they will tell you how to go about ordering one....It was £10 including Delivery...

according to NHBS - Philip's Planisphere: Northern 51.5 Degrees this is due for a reprint due in March 2011. Might be worth waiting.

I presume the Stargazing Live show created a sudden demand!

Funny, all the expensive kit I've been buying lately and I still haven't got around to getting one of these.

But I plan to as I see them as a really handy tool for identifying stars for quick alignments. Next time I order from a store and not buy from classifieds...I'll swoop one

I have an outsize David Levy one which is a dream to use in the dark. It is huge! Got it at Astrofest years ago.

We offer the David Chandler Night Sky planisphere. It isn't the cheapest but it is generally regarded as the best and is in stock.

i got one from FLO last week (very quick to arrive...as always) very pleased with it, it's great and well worth the £10

Hit the charity book shops, I went to my local one on a whim and walked out with a boxed set of monthly star guide, guide to astronomy and a pretty good Planisphere for £2.50
