Hi all,

My name is Stuart and I live in the town of Leyland in the North-West (I noticed there are a few members local to me). I have been interested in astronomy from childhood and was a committee member at the Preston And District Astronomical Society for a while. I still have an old Tasco 114mm newt, but it needs it's mirror re-silvering.

I recently got re-interested after purchasing a Skywatcher ED80 OTA from Pulsar-Optical for photographing birds (some of my photo's here). I am currently looking for a good mount and I think I've decided on the Skywatcher EQ5 SynScan. I mainly want to do general astrophotography by way of afocal and piggybacking methods with my Samsung GX-20 (aka Pentax K20d)
