The Double Cluster - Perseus

Just before I went off to the New Forest for a week or so, I captured some data for the Double Cluster but didn't get a chance to process it before I left. I struggle with these objects, much preferring nebulae but this time I did get some good colour and reasonably distinct stars towards the cores of the two clusters. 7 subs of 40 seconds each with my SXVF-M25c and Skywatcher 8" Reflector.

Indeed, a very lovely Image Steve :)... and thanks because you have just definately without a doubt confirmed that this is what I saw the other night.

Those orange stars stand out a treat and this Image shows them wonderfully.....good work..:o

Fine work Steve :D

Colours are lovely and it has a vibrancy about it.

I know exactly what you mean about struggling with objects such as this. Nebulae are easy compared to capturing the real feel of a star cluster.

I've yet to have a crack at the DC....I keep putting it off :D

Cheers

Rob
