Jupiter & Ganymede June 8th

Hi all,

Here's a shot of Jupiter and Ganymede from the 8th of June. Seeing wasn't too bad when I took this but fell throug the floor approximately ten minutes later! The dot on Jupiter is Ganymede's shadow.

It's certainly better than last night's effort Nick. Boy was the seeing bad! Wind too which makes the whole capture process strangely stressful.

I found the same thing last night Pete. Gave up after a couple of attempts.

So much for the zero-jetstream forecast!

Yes - I noted that too. The JS forecast is good for tonight too I think. Let's hope things improve.

It's odd isn't it? You get a couple of nights of good seeing and something in your encouragement centres really kicks in.

Absolutely, fabulous image!!

I was trying to capture last night - the wind was awful to say the least - will try this evening although there's some light cloud about.

Got to get a Barlow !!
